The Ottawa XPress today published an editorial on Bakerlaw client Benamar Benatta. Mr. Benatta, who was illegally transferred by Canadian officials to the US on September 12, 2001 and held for five years in American custody, is calling on Canadian authorities for a public review of his case. He is represented by Bakerlaw, with Nicole Chrolavicius acting as lead counsel.

The issue that he is a Muslim man who happened to know about airplanes surely is not enough to throw all the laws in this country out the window,” Ms. Chrolavicius tells the XPress.
