CBC News today reported on Benamar Benatta’s victory in his refugee claim, with a decision on Wednesday granting him the right to stay in Canada.
Mr. Benatta, who was illegally transferred by Canadian officials to the US on September 12, 2001 and held for five years in American custody, is calling on Canadian authorities for a public review of his case. He is represented by Bakerlaw, with Nicole Chrolavicius as lead counsel.
