David Baker is Awarded Honourary Doctorate from Trinity College, University of Toronto

On September 3, 2008, David Baker was honoured by his alma mater with an honourary doctorate degree during its fall convocation ceremony. In his speech, he urged new students to use their university years to explore and discover what they believe in, telling them: “If you have strong personal values, you will prosper.” He recounted his own path to becoming a social justice lawyer, and the challenging choices he faced along the way. “Wise choices are those that allow you to live what you know to be true.”
