The Special Joint Committee on Physician Assisted Dying reported their recommendations yesterday. Bakerlaw’s David Baker was among the witnesses who presented to the Committee during its consultation period. To review David’s submissions see our earlier blog post here (link).

The Report reaches well beyond what was contemplated by the Supreme Court of Canada in the Carter v Canada decision. For example, it recommends that mature minors should have access to physician assistance in dying.

David was featured on radio shows across the country this morning speaking about his assessment of the report.
