June 30, 2009 is the last day to refile an existing human rights complaint with the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (the Tribunal).
As of June 30, 2008, people in Ontario who believe they have experienced discrimination must file an application directly with the Tribunal rather than with the Ontario Human Rights Commission (the Commission).
If you filed a complaint with the Commission before June 30, 2008, and your complaint has not been finally determined or has not been referred to the Tribunal, you must refile it with the Tribunal by June 30, 2009.
If you do not refile by June 30, 2009, your complaint with the Commission will be considered abandoned.
